A book to learn everything about Radiohead, THE English indie rock band known worldwide for "Creep", "Karma Police" and "No Surprises".
Oxford, 1986. Radiohead gives its first official concert under the name On A Friday. Heirs of English indie rock (Magazine, The Smiths) and American alternative rock (Sonic Youth, REM), the band found success with the single "Creep" in 1993 and never stopped questioning its style, notably on the seminal albums OK Computer in 1997 and Kid A in 2000. Its members Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, Colin Greenwood and Phil Selway have together nine albums as a group, seven solo albums, four collaborative albums and twelve film soundtracks. This book traces their history while detailing the recording sessions produced by Nigel Godrich, song analysis, sleeves by Stanley Donwood, not to mention tours and promotional innovations such as the distribution of _In Rainbows_ on the Internet in 2007.
