Chaosphonies: From jazz to noise, the consecration of chaos

From the Velvet Underground to Sunn O))) via dub, free jazz, spectral music and current digital deviations, Chaosphonies is interested in the emotions and issues that musical chaos can convey. A philosophical attitude as much as a musical one, this tendency to give more importance to sound material than to its organization is transversal to many genres, and has often carried within it a seed of protest or utopia. The enjoyment of sound plays a role in overflowing a cultural production put at the service of forces of domination from which we would like to escape. Behind these counter-cultural dreams also shines the nostalgia for a blessed time when nature was not entirely "socialized", and the search for continuity between it and culture.
