At a young age, I worked at an independent record store — a formative experience that cemented my passion for music and books. After years of school and various jobs, I always held onto the dream of opening a cultural space. When the pandemic brought down my previous business, my wife encouraged me to go for it: “It’s now or never!” I found a space in Petite-Patrie and took the leap. Eighteen months later, Résonance has become a one-of-a-kind place, with 2,000 titles, events, unforgettable encounters, and a community of enthusiasts.

Résonance keeps one of the richest and most varied inventories around, but of course it can't carry everything — so the book you're after may not be in the Boutique right now. Do let me know: we adjust to demand, and we can always order it in quickly. Thank you!
Frequently asked questions
How much does shipping cost?
It depends on the weight and size of the book.
Worth noting: shipping is only $5 for small books like the 33 1/3 series, and several others.
How long does shipping usually take?
Usually between 3 and 5 days, depending on where you live. If you're within 5 km of the shop, you'll have it in 24 to 36 hours.
Do you buy used books?
Yes, of course! The first step is to send us an email at librairieresonance@gmail.com with a few photos. From there, I'll let you know the next step 😉.
If I don't see the book I want, can you get it for me?
Yes, as long as the book is still in print. Just fill out the contact form with the title you're looking for, and I'll reply within 24 hours (48 hours maximum).
Do you have vinyl records?
We have a small selection I've personally chosen from a private collector. That said, until further notice I don't ship these — you'll need to come to the Boutique.
